
New lab addition enhances hands-on training for students from 25 Southern Indiana high schools
New Albany, Ind. (October 2025) — Prosser Career Education Center has completed an expansion of its manufacturing lab, marking a significant investment in hands-on technical education and workforce development for Southern Indiana. The project was completed in partnership with One Southern Indiana, with AML Construction serving as Construction Manager and Constructor.
The 1,316-square-foot addition increases capacity for advanced manufacturing instruction, giving students greater access to real-world tools, equipment, and learning environments. The expanded lab supports students from 25 Southern Indiana high schools, helping prepare the next generation of skilled trades and technical professionals.
By enhancing experiential learning opportunities, the expanded facility plays a key role in strengthening the regional talent pipeline and aligning education with the evolving needs of local industry. The project reflects a shared commitment among education, economic development, and construction partners to invest in long-term workforce readiness and economic growth across the region.
