Company closes operations to allow team to pay tribute to a foundational leader and longtime superintendent
Floyd Knobs, Ind. (November 2025) — AML Construction will pause operations to allow employees and leadership to attend the Funeral Mass of E.J. Banet and honor a man who dedicated 57 years of his life to the company. The closure reflects the deep respect and gratitude held for someone whose impact shaped generations of projects and people.
E.J. Banet was more than a superintendent. He was a cornerstone of AML Construction and a steady presence whose dedication and work ethic set the standard for doing things the right way. For nearly six decades, he brought pride, consistency, and integrity to every job and every team he led.
Beyond his professional legacy, E.J. was known for the things that made him unmistakably himself. He cherished his family, proudly supported the Hoosiers, loved horses, and made no secret of his dislike for the Wildcats. Those who knew him best also knew his soft spot for kids and the kindness that defined his character.
E.J.’s influence will continue to be felt throughout AML Construction in the values he lived and the example he set. As the company comes together to remember his life, his legacy remains embedded in its culture, its people, and the work carried forward in his honor.
