The CASA dei Curiosity space was designed to be a large, multipurpose, group space which is acoustically designed to support theatre performances (and other arts, including music or spoken word) as well as supporting our project based (real-life) learning activities. We will also use the space for parent and community educational programs, because we see our organization as a leader in the educational field for our community – we want to share our knowledge and experiences with others to help them find resources to be better people, parents and teachers. The inspiration for the name came from Maria Montessori’s first school in Italy – the Casa dei Bambini (Children’s House). We hope this space will be a “house of curiosity” for all of our community, inspiring learning for years to come.
